ABSTRACT
Atmospheric air is one of the most important elements of the environment, its composition has an direct and indirect influence on the others environment elements. Air pollution has an influence on living elements, human health and products of human activity because of its character and easy of propagation. More and more attention is given to air protection issues evidenced by lots of climatic conferences, international agreements, extensive research about new technologies and ways of air pollution limiting. It takes too intense legislative process. In accordance with the Act of 27 April 2001 “Environmental Protect Law”, air protection is to ensure the best quality. Characteristics of the analyzed object taking into account to the emission of air pollutants coming from mineral rock mining plant using open pit surface mining on the area of 25.9 ha, with granite processing installation with a capacity of over 100 000 m3/year. According to the authors this is representative of the mining plant, which at this level of extraction, machinery and technology emits air pollution in the illustrated level.
