ABSTRACT
The paper presents, under the Act of 19 December 2008, the new vision of rules for granting of pensions.
Discusses the principles for assessment of energy expenditure and the burden of musculoskeletal
disorders (OWAS), which are the basis to comparison with the specific jobs figuring in the Annexes to
the Act. There is an example of calculating energy expenditure and the burden of bone and joint for the
rock miner workstation.
