ABSTRACT
Contemporary labour market in Polish opencat mining in particular of rock materials was characterized.
The importance of well educated staff for a such big mining company as Lafarge is was described.
The activities of this Company for a raise of staff qualification was described as well. Cooperation
between Lafarge Company and Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology and the educational
process of students were characterized
