ABSTRACT
The results of geodetic measurements in mining areas are basic information about ground deformations, particularly vertical displacements of the ground. Prognosis of vertical displacements is important for rational spatial development of mining grounds. In the paper surveying techniques used in the “Konrad” mining ground in Iwiny have been synthetically characterized. Coefficient values of vertical displacement have been calculated for different methods of copper extraction used there. Displacement coefficient is the most important factor in ground subsidence predictions due to underground mining. Calculated values of subsidence prediction have been verified with the results of geodetic measurements for the 2000–20100 period.
